The Artwork of Rosetta Jallow
A Youtube clip of some of the paintings Rosetta Jallow has done between 2010 and 2012.
Rosetta, born in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland has been drawing since she was 2 years old and sold her first oil painting when she was 14. She laughingly recalls that this was at a time when she was earning 50 pence a week for delivering newspapers. She smiles when she thinks of how she thought she had made the big time by earning a week’s wages for a painting. The painting was one of Carrickfergus Castle. Over the years she has painted the castle so many times it is not her favourite subject at all.

Rosetta’s preference is in colourful semi-abstract works and in portraiture though she paints using a wide variety of media and subject matter as the Youtube clip shows.
Rosetta’s artwork hangs in homes across the world from Florida to Brisbane and she paints several ongoing series of artwork for exhibition. She also uses some of her artwork to raise funds to aid African causes.
Rosetta puts much of her work for sale as prints, cards and posters on several art sites. She has also been Featured Artist on many of them.

Her projects for 2012 include World Community Arts day in Gambia, and a Faces of Africa exhibition at the Flax Gallery in Mossley, Northern Ireland. She has also donated artwork to Art With A Heart who are arranging a charity exhibition in Altrincham, Cheshire later in the year to benefit a children’s charity.
